oh so lost and oh so found...

May. 16th, 2007 | 02:52 pm

I haven't thought about this thing in so long. I remember when I used to write in it everyday. But, I just can't anymore.

I am still signed up to go to Europe in Sept-Oct. I don't know if I can afford it yet, but I'm still signed up. I guess I'll just plunk down a credit card and suck it.

I'm so tired of people right now.

I'm so tired of work.

I'm so tired of being broke.

I'm so tird of the US government being on my ass - taxes can eat it, highway patrol can eat it, the DMV can eat it for wanting $38 for renewing my license. What the hell!! It was $12 last time I had to renew in 2002. I refuse!

I do love:

Themed parties where I'm the star
Candace, Jess and brunch at Flying Frog on Sundays for mimosas and eggs benedict with avocado.
fitting into size 4 dresses
being a blonde

weird. everytime I see celine dion on tv, I laugh... this is because I alway see her making constipation-like faces and/or beating her chest during important climatic parts of songs... and I can't help it. It makes me laugh like whoa.

you know, sometimes I don't want to be this way, but today I'm going to go ahead and say it:

it is fun to be mean.

I'm speaking purely in terms of celebrity gossip.

Things are so fucking weird lately... I mean, not that things are bad... they are not, they are just weird... not bad weird at all, just interesting... hilarious... cool

The girls and I are moved into our new apartment and we like it so much better. In fact, this morning I had absolutely zero trouble waking up because the sun rose on my side of the building and came right through my huge windows. It was beautiful, amazing and refreshing. I woke up at 7:30 am on the dot and got right out of bed. I arrived at work at 8:15 am this morning and felt wonderful.

Our apartment is messy, however, our rooms are completely clean and it's the frickin bomb. I'm very happy with my room, even if my room is small and my closet is even tinier... hey, it beats have NO closet, which is what I had at the "house of pain" which is what I'm calling my former residence. Me, the girls and my mom cleaned the shit out of the old house yesterday. We even used tooth brushes to scrub the baseboards. But we said eff it to mopping. We left that house 5 times cleaner than when we move in. In fact, Douchebag Paul hadn't even cleaned the refridgerator out when we moved in. I swear to Christ, I'll flip my shit if we don't get some of our security deposit back. I fucking hate that house and that man. I don't have too much in this world, but he's def one of them.

And a HUGE thank you to Jim and Janae for being awesome and helping us pack and move for approximately the last 4 days, they deserve a medal for how great of friends they were to us, seriously. I bought a huge bottle of whisky for them.

I'm just so relieved we're out of that house and we have a bigger place, plus paying less in rent. I feel calmer and less stressed already. I hope it lasts. Please let it! And our chairs that we painted red and recovered the seat in black cloth are awesome! They look so good in our apartment with our beautiful new scarlett love seat and our soon to be sanded and painted black coffee and end tables.

I am loving life right now, except for the fact that we don't have a washer and a dryer anymore. I'm driving to Candler-town tonight to wash soem stuff.

Oh shit! And I bought chocolate brown sheets, a turquoise/lime green comforter and pillow shams at Target yesterday! They are lovely! 300 thread count! On sale! Wheee!

I got my bed from IKEA. I'm freakin stoked on it... not on the assembly, but you know, on it in general... after I had to pitch a royal fucking fit to get the mattress I wanted, Laura and I folded the bitch hot dog-style and shoved it into my mother effin Jetta and drove back home from ATL. This is amazing. Completely. I hate to move, but I can't wait to be outta this house and into our new apartments which will be so much better for so many different reasons.

But current drama is getting on my nerves. I'm totally retreating to my room, the coffee shop and staying away from the bar as much as possible right now to keep away from ever being involved in anyone's business right now. I'm just not into it. I don't even want to know what people be thinking 'bout other people right now, I just want to finish The Power of One and decorate my bedroom in my new apartment.

I absolutely had the best time this weekend and Emergency Broadcast system is great! I was too impressed. TLO was always good, of course. It was the FUN!

OMG! 24 is tonight.

It's just a crush, but it's pretty fun.

I read entirely too much about how to make these today:

http://www.officeguns.com/

yeah, me and my co-workers took turns shooting the one made out of the big black paper clip with the little black paper clip. It was pretty amusing.

sneaky sneaky sneaky. I'm going away this weekend. It will be fun. I can't wait. I need a little trip to take my mind of moving. Did I mention how much I hate moving? I cannot get enough Chai Tea from Starbucks. I hate that it's the only Chai Tea I like, especially since City Bakery is right next door and they are a mom-n-pop and I don't want to make them go out of business. I rarely get coffee, but if I do, it's City Bakery. But Starbucks has the only Chai Tea Latte in town that I care for.

There is a half beagle, half Boston terrier puppy in our office every day now. He was a Christmas gift to one of our employees and he brings him every day. I love to play with him, he's adorable! He's 12 weeks old and he can already sit, shake and speak. And our Boxer/Put bull mix, Buddah, is here. He's freakin amazing. He's soooo chill. My parents are still contemplating getting my brother a beagle mix puppy for his birthday this spring. He wants to name him/her Porkrind. I personally don't think my parents will ever agree to it, though. Just as well, I'll bring my brother home a kitten or something.

It's amazing how many people there are in this town who literally are completely full of bullshit. I just call it like I see it.

This morning was not the fun waking up. I had to wash my hair, which I hate doing in the morning, but I went to bed instead of washing it last night, so I had to. Plus, my cat was laying on my legs, so it was hard to get her up. She wanted to sleep too. I just want to go back to bed. I'm so tired. I didn't even go out last night. Screw it. I worked almost 17 hrs, I was NOT going out after that. Maybe I'll go tonight, but we'll have to see. I may take a nap at home after work and then head out with the ladies after Project Runway. It's '80s night, after all, at Broadways.

What is it that I want lately? Just some nice quite nights at home, but not at the home I currently live in, because just being in that house stresses me out. Eff it! I'm moving next weekend anyway. I would like to just be chill. I'd like to read my book in more comfortable atmosphere. I'd like to be able to walk over to UNCA and read a book in the Botanical Gardens or on the quad and just chill. Soon, I'll be able to do that because I'll be on the other side of 25. I can walk to the $2 theater, I can walk to SUSHI! Now, that's really something to be excited about. I just can't wait for all this crappy cold weather to go away, because I want it to be warm. I'll still walk when it's cool, because I'll bundle up, but still. I hate the cold more than almost anything. Except my current landlord.

24 was freakin cool tonight. I loved it. I didn't watch anything else. I went shopping for a little bit, but only bought a sweater and a pair of gloves from Marshalls. I spent $30. I am now gearing up to clean my room, listen to my Zen and read some more in my book, "The Power Of One." It's a really good story about a boy growing up in South Africa during Nazi crap. It's a really, really good read. I recomend it. In fact, I recommend all the books I've read lately, American Psycho, The Power of One and Citizen Girl.

anyway, I've gotta be up early tomorrow for work, so I've gotta go to bed soon and get a good nights sleep. I've been anything but restful lately. Plus, this weekend is going to be a doozy, in ATL. And next weekend is when I'm mooooving. I'm in a hurry right now so I'm not checking my spelling or grammar. get over it.

I'm super duper fuck ass pissed because the season premier of 24 is tonight and I HAVE TO BE AT WORK and will miss 1.5 hrs of it! MOTHER OF PEARL! However, I do have friends with TiVO and although I have no clue how it works, sans the episode of Sex and the City where Miranda TiVOs Jules and Mimi, either way, I'm gonna get me some Kiefer Sutherland 2NIGHT! WOOOOOT!

Well, we got the apartment and Amanda told off our landlord and said if he wants more money out of us for the 10 days in February, that he should take it out of the security deposit and leave us the eff alone. I can't wait to move. Jim, Janae and my mom are all possibilities for helping us move on the 28th. I'm excited because it's cheaper, water is included, it's bigger, I get a real closet, and I'm so tired of being stressed out because our landlord is a douche. He's burned his bridge with me, I'm never so much as babysitting for his kids again.

Now that I'm so relieved, I'm going to take a long walk, even though it's cold, around the neighborhood. We're going to visit the new place, too.

Oh yeah, and I hung out with Caleb Hyatt, Jonathan Haywood, Brad Gaddy, Anthony Gooden, Zeb and Gena Bailey last night and it was so much fun! I used to be joined at the hip with all those people in HS and I have missed them! It was such a good time!

Charleston, here I come... you're going to be cold and I'm only going to be there for one day, but hey, it's not Asheville and it's with Adrienne...

and I saw Caleb Hyatt and Jonathan Haywood this weekend, and they were my boys in high school, and they got my numba and we're going to hang out and it'll be super duper fly! And my girl Jenny R. and I are getting coffee before she leaves for Costa Rica and Lauren K. and I are gonna chill, cause I miss her like whoa and probably Tyler will be around and he's the funny!

Oh goooorrrrrgeous.

soooo, I'll be on a business trip tomorrow in Charleston. I will be with Adrienne. We are going to staying at a fatty pad in downtown Charleston and then on to the presentation. I'm giving a presentation in front of 5,000 peeps. I'm not nervous. I like public speaking. It's a gift.

I'm stoked on taking better care of myself recently. I haven't been sick in a while and it's awesome. It's because I've cut back on the alcohol a bit and I am eating leafy greens and more protein to try and keep iron in my body. I'm still tired though, and I hate that. But, I am taking a multi-vitmain and I'm jogging around my neighborhood. I wish it wouldn't get dark at 6 pm so I could take a major 2 hr walk in the evenings without being in the effin dark like imma gonna get mugged or something... I mean, I live in Norwood/Kimberly, it's lawyers and doctor's area, there probably isn't any mugging going on, but sheeesh.

But, regardless of my beer intake being a little less than usual, my social life is still full steam ahead. I can't get enough of my friends. I love them!

dude. I went on a 2 hr jog/walk today in the Grove/Kimberly neighborhood, which is also right next to my neighborhood in Norwood. I didn't even know where I was going, but I finally got to the Grove Park Inn and I hung a left and got to Charlotte and went back home. It was an amazing 2 hrs. I just listened to my Zen and thought and enjoyed the beauty of this city and I swear all the homes off Griffing Blvd smell like fabric softner outside. All their dogs sit perfectly on their front lawns and don't bark or run at you when you go jogging by. It was so peaceful. Then I came home and did some housework and watched the uncut version of Wedding Crashers, which I bought, and it's hilarious! Now I'm thinking about finish up the housework and then listening to the Italian CDs I borrowed to learn something new. I am going to learn Italian, French, Russian, maybe German... or at least, I'm going to give it a go. I wanted to learn how to knit so I taught myself that with a kit and the internet, so hell, I'm gonna try something else. I feel pretty good when I'm attempting to learn something new.

Good day!
